Ethics is an important cross-cutting aspect in Horizon Europe. Ethical aspects play a fundamental role in all project phases: from project planning and application to project implementation and project completion. Ethical aspects should therefore be considered at an early stage. The assessment of ethical aspects ("ethics self-assessment") is obligatory in the application phase. Ethics and ethical requirements for projects are regulated in Annex 5 of the Grant Agreement.
