ERC Scientific Council tentatively agrees lump sums for Advanced Grants 2024

In June 2022, the ERC Scientific Council agreed conditionally to the introduction of lump sums for ERC Advanced Grants on a pilot basis for ERC Work Programme 2024.

For a successful introduction of lump sums, the ERC Scientific Council's decision is subject to a number of preconditions, including safeguarding the autonomy of the Principal Investigator (PI) and free definition of milestones or deliverables by the PI.

A final decision is expected according to the timetable for the adoption of the ERC Work Programme in 2024.
