For the next ERC Work Programme 2024, the ERC announced on 19 December 2022 changes regarding the CV and Track Record templates which will be combined and simplified. Applicants will be invited to explain the information provided through short narrative descriptions, to explain career breaks or unconventional career paths and to describe exceptional contributions to the research community. The ERC Scientific Council has furthermore decided to weigh the project proposal more than the past achievements of the applicant during the evaluation. Full details will be available in the ERC Work Programme 2024 and related guidance documents.
In this context, the ERC Scientific Council has also decided to sign the CoARA agreement on Research Assessment (published in July 2022).
