EIC Pathfinder

The EIC Pathfinder aims at identifying radical new technologies that have the potential to establish new markets. To achieve this aim, visionary and high-risk projects are promoted at an early development stage.

National Action Plan for the European Research Area

In November 2023, the Federal Government adopted a National Action Plan for the European Research Area (ERA). This lays the foundation for the strategic direction of German EU research and innovation policy until 2027.

European Innovation Ecoystems (EIE)

This programme aims to bundle measures for the improved use of innovation potential and innovation ecosystems as well as encourage, stimulate and maximise innovation and cooperation among national, regional and local innovation actors.

EIC Accelerator

The EIC Accelerator supports companies (principally SMEs, including start-ups) to scale-up high impact innovations with the potential to create new markets or disrupt existing ones.

Save the date – Starting Grant 2025: Interview Trainings

The National Contact Point ERC will be offering Starting Grant interview trainings from the end of April to the end of May 2025, to help candidates prepare for their interviews for the ERC Starting Grant 2025. All trainings will be held online.

New member of the ERC Scientific Council appointed

The European Commission has appointed a new member of the governing body of the European Research Council (ERC), the Scientific Council. Mathematician András Stipsicz will assume his duties on 1 April 2025.

The Synergies Dialogue Managing Office is the first point of contact for information and contacts regarding the topic of synergies.

Eleni Zika

Eleni Zika works in the Scientific Mgmt Dept. She leads a new sector focussing on scientific impact & feedback to policy. They want to illustrate the policy relevance of excellence frontier science, and enhance the visibility of ERC-funded research.

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) aims to be the flagship of European innovation. It was founded in 2008 and its headquarters are located in Budapest, Hungary.
