Interview Trainings Starting Grants

The Interview is an important part of the ERC evaluation process. Here you can find out how the National Contact Point ERC can support you in this process.

Registration for the ERC Starting Grant 2025 Interview Trainings

The ERC National Contact Point (NCP ERC) supports ERC Starting Grant candidates with online trainings in preparing for their interview. We are offering a total of twelve online training sessions.

Each candidate will have approximately 30 minutes to simulate their interview. A professional trainer will lead the training and provide feedback. In addition to the trainer, the mock panel will consist of colleagues from the NCP ERC as well as the participating candidates.

The training sessions are primarily intended for ERC Starting Grant candidates with a German host institution who have received an interview invitation and do not have the opportunity to participate in training at their institution.

A preparatory training session (Part I) will take place on April 24, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Unlike the interview training sessions, there is no participant limit for this event.

The following domain-specific dates are probably available for interview training (Part II):

  • Tuesday, April 29, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (PE)
  • Tuesday, April 29, 09:00 a.m. – 13:00 p.m. (PE)
  • Wednesday, April 30, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (LS)
  • Wednesday, April 30, 09:00 a.m. – 13:00 p.m. (PE)
  • Monday, May 5, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (LS)
  • Monday, May 5, 09:00  a.m.-13:00 p.m. (LS)
  • Friday, May 9, 13:30 p.m. – 17:30 p.m. (LS)
  • Friday, May 16, 13:30 p.m.– 17:30 p.m. (SH)
  • Monday, May 19, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (SH)
  • Tuesday, May 20, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (SH)
  • Friday, May 30, 09:00 a.m. – 13:00 p.m. (SH)

Registration for all training sessions is expected to open on March 31, 2025. We will provide timely updates in our ERC newsletter as well as on this website.
